Good morning, my name is Phyllis Sweitzer. I am the Director of Womens Ministries of the Dover Foursquare Church in Dover, Ohio. Ten years ago our ministry began a school supply and back pack giveaway to the members of our community. Each year it has grown and grown. This year we had 466 people come through our doors. We only had a little over 400 backpacks to give. We also buy all the basic supplies a child may need. We also giveaway gently used clothing. We ask no questions, do not get anyone's name and gladly give what we have to the children. Our congregation is about 200. We purchase our supplies through donations and fund raisers our ministry holds. This year we purchased all our backpacks from you. We have bought them for the past 3 years. Our problem is we need more than we are able to purchase and thus, the reason for our request for help. any donation you can provide would be most appreciated not only by our ministry but by the children who you will help bless. Our giveaway is the first Saturday of every August. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Organization: Winterstown United Methodist Church Write My Story
Hello, my name is Jay Beaver. Our church, Winterstown United Methodist Church sponsored a "Back To School Family Fun Day" in August of 2012 to help the families in the surrounding area with backpacks, school supplies and clothing for the coming school year. This was our first time we did this and were pleasantly surprised with the attendance. We purchased 150 backpacks last year from Wholesale-backpacks and gave all of them away. In fact we had nearly 250 children in attendance that day. This is a rural farm area in southcentral PA. Everything was free to all in attendance. The moment that touched our hearts was a little boy came out to a booth beaming because he just received a free pair of shoes and a backpack filled with school supplies. Each child had to participate in a mission activity to redeem their ticket for the backpack. We would be honored and appreciative of any donation that you could provide for our 2013 event which will be held August 17, 2013. There was food, inflatable rides, games, cheerleaders, helicopters and fire trucks. Most of all the Lord was with us and all who were there. Thank you in advance.

Blessings to you all in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ. Am excited to see people caring for other people throughout the world. My name is Ada Mirtha Chan, presently i serve as the Youth Leader in my local church, i also serve the community as the secretary of the Parents and Teachers Association in our Roman Catholic Primary School. As a single mother of three I personally know the hardship many people face especially in this time of year. when the children are going back to school. My heart has ached for many years, because the need of many humble families has always been present, i have seen children drop out of school because of lack of financial support in school. My vision is that our church youth can birth a Young Hearts for Jesus Fund where we could reach out to help children with humble resources in the community and nearby communities as well with backpacks with school supplies before school opens and in the nearby future select the most needed to support them with full school tuition and school supplies. May Our Lord use this means to touch your hearts to give and take part of our vision. It takes one heart to birth a vision but it takes many willing and obedient hearts to fullfill it. I thank you in Jesus Name.

I have always felt a love for children, and have been working this summer camp for over 6 years. We mentor children from ages 5 to12 years old who are enrolled into our camp. We offer a free food service- Breakfast and Lunch both served to people of 18 months to 18 years old Recently, our food service numbers have reached outstanding peaks in the city. We served a total of 1600 lunches, and 832 breakfasts- just in the month of July. Our camp enrollment numbers have also been notified as the highest in Hammond, and we were featured in article in the Hammond Times about our recreational activities. Recently, 3 years ago my colleagues and I came up with a Back To School School Supplies Give away- where we gave out backpacks full of school supplies to the children in the community, so they can start the school year off right. We have always used money from our pockets, and with some help from the city- but as hard economic times have hit everyone, money is tight for us- so we know it's even tighter for the parents who have children that go to school. If you are able to accommodate me by donating anything from a check-backpacks- and or school supplies, I would greatly appreciate it. We usually do this event on the last day of our summer program- which is August 17th, 2012. If you can help me please rush ship any donations to 542 Highland Street Hammond Indiana 46320. We usually hand out 200 backpacks to the community during this event. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at 219.629.9520 or evelynwilson14@yahoo.com. Last year, we were able to provide approximately 700 back packs filled to capacity with school supplies, we also donated school uniforms, shoes, toiletries and other necessities to ensure that our community children had a successful school year. Miraculous we had this event on the morning of Hurricane Irene showing that not even nature will hold us back from serving our communities!

Below are a few other ways your coperation can aide us to continue helping ohters.

Along with our Back to School Initiative, we will be securing donations for the following:

1. "Holiday Baskets" - We are collecting can goods, turkeys, and other basket stuffers to ensure that our community families in need have a blessed and joyful holiday.

2. "Operation Christmas Child" - Partnered with United Baptist Church we are collecting shoe boxes (which will be provided to you) to fill to school supplies, toys, toiletries, and any other item you can think of. These boxes will be donated to families in the New Carrollton surrounding communities, and the also shipped overseas.
